Introduction

What is my piece?

Hello, welcome to my blog about Live multi-camera, that has been cleverly named Live Blog. We were tasked with planning, creating and producing a Multi-camera piece for Units 9 & 10. We could create just one scene that could last around 2-5 minutes or a whole 30-minute show. As I love pushing myself to my breaking point I went with a whole recreation of Taskmaster.
I chose to do this because my dad and I really love the show and love to guess the best way to get through the tasks on the show. This peeked my interest in how the show was made. This is why I chose to do this recreation on a simple concept yet effective show. I know a lot about the show though watching it and things I have heard through word of mouth about the seasons we haven't seen. I also have done an overview research profile on the show and how the structure of the show. I will be keeping this blog to track my planning, idea, production, post and testing, evaluation and overall thoughts on how I think I did at the end of it all and what I could have or would have done to improve the work.  I will also include a link or in-bed somewhere within this blog.

What is my role & who is my cast and crew?

My role in this piece is to produce and direct the tasks by timing and following the camera person, Cat. I will be making sure everyone has the same amount of time, that they are told the same things to keep consistency.
My contestants are Tom Sparrow, Courtney Beckett, Dylan Murphy and Dean Watts. They will be completing the tasks in their own way and then reacting in the studio when the V 's are ready. The studio will be my multi-camera 'live' scene focus of the project.
For the studio reaction, I will be directing everyone where to sit, where to look and when the VT's are playing, for the camera crew that consists of Cat and myself and if I can find a 3rd camera person to help with another lock on camera to be able to turn them all on and off all at once. However, if I can not find a 3rd person I don't think, at this moment, it will be a big deal as two cameras are a lock on meaning they will not move and will be easy for one person to control, probably me.
I also need a presenter, which after researching the personality type of the taskmaster of the actual show, Greg Davies. I also asked in my online survey if this would be important for the show to have a specific personality type hosting this genre, which I'll go into more detail on my research page. The result was a clear yes, so looking at the people I know the closest personality type I could get is my extroverted friend Caitlin Groves
